Often lower budget racers cannot afford to have full computational analyses or wind tunnel testing performed on their cars. However, sound aerodynamic design principles can allow for performance improvements at a considerably lower cost than full evaluation. JKF can assist with the selection of appropriate aerodynamic devices to suit your needs. We can also advise on the fundamental purposes of each aerodynamic device, and use an “eyeballing” approach to determine approximate aerodynamic balance and where you may be able to pick up downforce and reduce drag. We also provide lap simulation to determine the real world effects of picking up points of downforce vs. increasing drag and increasing power.
